Went redacted information Lower Hutt and there spoke to Mrs Redacted Name a Housewife. Phone Redacted Number Husband employed by Lower Hutt Fire Brigade redacted name as a fireman.

She stated:

That night I had been out at a basketball evening with friends. We arrived back at my place, talked for a while, had a cup of coffee and then at 11PM it became time for my friends to leave. They were:

Redacted Name Redacted Name Wainuiomata. Redacted Name Redacted Name Road, Lower Hutt Redacted Name and a lingerie salesman whose name I do not know, but he is a good friend of Redacted Name.

We went out the back door and stood in the driveway. Redacted Name pointed towards the South above the garage into the sky. She drew our attention to an object which was glowing and appeared to be travelling towards us from the Maungaraki Hills. It was travelling very fast, much faster than an aeroplane does at that height. In fact I have never seen an aeroplane travelling so low.

The object was looping and banking on its side and its manouvres [SIC] were very smooth. It started to move towards the East and then moved over towards the hills of Naenae and Stokes Valley. It was in our view for at least 2 minutes. There was no sound, no particular colour, just a glowing light similar to a household electric light. The light did not cast a shadow or light up our garden.

I will draw a picture of what I saw and explain it to you.

In the centre where I have drawn 4 oval shapes in a row are these 4 oval lights. There was a glow underneath them and each light was revolving. There appeared to be shadowed parts on the bottom and on the edges. The bottom diagram is how the thing looked when it was looping and banking on its side. The lights seemed to go towards the edge.

The four of us saw the thing and we were very surprised.

After it disappeared we went back into the house and decided that we should tell someone. We rang the N.Z.B.C who told us to ring the Police.
